    President & Chief Executive Officer

    Alicia Moy has been the president and chief executive officer of Hawaii Gas since May 2013. Under her leadership, the company is committed to supporting the positive transformation of Hawaii’s energy landscape and achievement of the state’s renewable energy goals, lowering the state’s high cost of energy for customers, providing diverse and resilient clean energy solutions and development of renewable natural gas projects. Her energy vision in Hawaii is to support, develop and collaborate on clean energy solutions. Previously, Alicia was senior vice president at Hawaii Gas’ parent company, Macquarie Infrastructure Company (MIC), which owns, operates and invests in a diversified group of infrastructure businesses in the United States. At Macquarie, Alicia oversaw corporate strategy, strategic planning, funding and management of several Macquarie-managed utility companies, including Hawaii Gas.Alicia has served as a member of Hawaii Gas’ board of directors since 2011. She also serves on the boards of Bank of Hawaii, Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii, Aloha United Way, the Western Energy Institute and the Workforce Development Council. She is also a trustee of the Nature Conservancy of Hawaii. Additionally, Alicia sits on advisory boards for the Hawaii Clean Energy Initiative and Women in Renewable Energy. Her professional affiliations include Women Corporate Directors, Military Affairs Council, Hawaii Business Roundtable and the Young President’s Organization.Alicia holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and marketing from the University of Miami and a master’s degree in finance from INSEAD. Alicia’s expertise in utility and energy has given her a unique and holistic perspective on the integrated nature of Hawaii’s energy ecosystem and how it is transforming to meet the state’s renewable and clean energy goals.

  • Suzy Hollinger

    Suzy P. Hollinger

    Chief Financial Officer

    Suzy P. Hollinger joined Hawaii Gas as Chief Financial Officer in October 2018, and is responsible for overseeing Hawaii Gas’ finance, accounting, and procurement departments.

    Suzy comes to HG with more than 30 years as an executive in the finance, accounting, and financial communications fields. Most recently, Suzy served as Vice President, Investor Relations with Alexander & Baldwin, where she played a key leadership role in the company’s major strategic initiatives and as liaison to the investment community. She also served in management with Hawaiian Electric Industries, Inc. and KPMG LLP, and is a certified public accountant.

    In her community work, Suzy serves as board chair for Hawaii Dental Services and as a trustee for Assets School.

  • Thomas Young

    Thomas K. L. M. Young

    Executive Vice President of Special Projects and Strategic Supply

    Thomas K.L.M. Young is responsible for ensuring Hawaii Gas successfully navigates its way through a changing energy landscape into the future. He is responsible for overseeing projects like the use of liquefied natural gas (LNG) at Hawaii Gas’ synthetic natural gas (SNG) plant on Oahu, which will reduce the state’s reliance on important crude oil. He also oversees the company’s efforts to maintain a reliable, cost effective supply of propane for its customers.

    Tom holds a bachelor's degree in chemistry from the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa, and joined Hawaii Gas in 1981 as a chemist. He was promoted to director of gas operations in 2001, vice president of operations in 2006, and senior vice president of strategic initiatives and supply in 2010, before becoming executive vice president, chief operating officer in 2013. Tom was named to his current post in 2018.

  • Aaron Kirk

    Aaron Kirk

    Vice President, Sales & Marketing

    Aaron Kirk joined Hawaii Gas in February 2016 and is responsible for the overall management and strategic direction of all sales and marketing activities statewide. He leads the sales team in pursuing new business and partnerships in the community.

    Aaron most recently served as president of Bonterra Solar, providing leadership and strategy during a growth phase in their commercial business. He is also the former president and chief operating officer of Sunetric, one of Hawaii’s largest solar installation companies, where he provided strategic direction and implemented systems that resulted in significant revenue and profitability growth. Aaron serves on the board of directors of the Better Business Bureau of Hawaii.

  • Nathan Nelson

    Nathan C. Nelson

    Vice President, General Counsel & Secretary

    Nathan C. Nelson is responsible for legal and regulatory affairs. He provides legal counsel in the areas of contracts, litigation, insurance, real property, and regulatory interface with the Hawai'i Public Utilities Commission. He is also responsible for ensuring corporate compliance and managing corporate records.

    Prior to joining Hawaii Gas in 2011, Nathan served as the company's interim general counsel while associated with Carlsmith Ball, LLC. In 2013, he was recognized as the Young Business Leader of the Year at Pacific Business News' Forty Under 40 event. Nathan serves on the boards of the Hawaii Appleseed Center for Law and Economic Justice and the GIFT Foundation of Hawaii.
